Redwood and other products from the famed North Coast region of California shined at the 2013 Sunset Celebration Weekend held June 1-2 in Menlo Park, California. The California Redwood Association (CRA) and member redwood mills Humboldt Redwood, Mendocino Redwood, Big Creek, and California Redwood Company were featured in a beautiful 10×20 booth alongside producers affiliated with Humboldt Made. The unique booth experience featured food and beverage samples from local, artisanal producers from Humboldt County, California including Dick Taylor Chocolates, Natural Decadence Gluten-Free Bakery, Cypress Grove Chevre, Mad River Brewing, and many others. Besides food and beverage samples, visitors to the booth were able to pick up free redwood seedlings to take home and plant as well as free samples of Humboldt Hands natural soaps.
While visitors to the booth were treated to wonderful, handcrafted food and beverage samples, they could also learn about the many benefits of using real, strong redwood in their outdoor living projects. The original “Humboldt Made” product, redwood is the preferred choice of Californians and many consumers throughout the West for their own beautiful, natural outdoor living spaces.
Over the course of the two-day event held at the Sunset corporate offices it is estimated that over 7,500 visitors enjoyed sampling the products and talking more in depth with members of the CRA and Humboldt Made about the wonderful products on display.
For everyone that visited the CRA booth this year, thanks for stopping by! If you missed us, we invite you to come and see us next year – we are already very excited about this wonderful event in 2014!
