About Mendocino Forest Products

Mendocino Forest Products Company, LLC (MFP), is a leading manufacturer and distributor of environmentally certified redwood decking, fencing, landscaping, timbers, and dimensional lumber products, as well as environmentally certified Douglas-fir dimensional lumber. Through its partnership with The Home Depot, the company supplies beautiful redwood and Douglas-fir lumber products to customers throughout California and the western U.S.

Formed in July 1998, MFP and sister company, Mendocino Redwood Company, LLC (MRC®), work together to supply the marketplace with environmentally responsible lumber and timbers.

MRC owns 228,800 acres (350 square miles) of timberlands in Mendocino and Sonoma Counties in California. MRC supplies MFP with raw materials in the form of redwood and Douglas-fir logs. MFP in turn manufactures these logs into top-quality redwood and Douglas-fir lumber products.

Our company has been certified to the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC® C013133) since 2000. You may view our certification documentation here.

Our Sawmill in Ukiah, California maximizes the yield of each log by utilizing the latest computerized processing software and equipment. Consisting of a small-log sawmill, a planing mill, a fencing plant, a remanufacturing plant, and a series of dry kilns, the Ukiah sawmill complex is the manufacturing hub for Mendocino Forest Products.

Our Pellet Mill in Calpella, California produces wood pellets for use in pellet stoves that heat residences and other building types.

Our Distribution Center in Calpella, California protects finished products awaiting delivery to The Home Depot stores in an efficient, climate-controlled warehouse.

Our Distribution Center on Oahu, the Hawaiian Islands provides best-in-class support to eight high-volume The Home Depot stores on the Islands and Guam. From our central location, we distribute a wide range of pressure treated lumber products for the unique marine climate, as well as other specialty products.

Our Customer Service Center in Santa Rosa, California provides The Home Depot with in-store merchandising service and support, marketing, and order processing. MFP has a dedicated team of Customer Service Representatives (CSRs).

Our Development Center in Atlanta, Georgia works closely with The Home Depot executive offices to identify important consumer trends, new product opportunities, and to achieve mutual business development goals.
