Decking:
Framing/Sub-structure
For an economical and long-lasting deck substructure, MFP recommends using pressure-treated lumber with Wolmanized® Outdoor®, a copper-azole based treatment. Wolmanized® Outdoor® wood is resistant to termites and fungal decay, both above-ground and in-ground. MFP treated wood with Wolmanized® Outdoor® is available at many Home Depot stores across California, Nevada and Arizona¹.
Warranty and handling information for Wolmanized® Outdoor® lumber is available at the Wolmanized® Outdoor® wood website. Note that the product warranty is voided if Wolmanized® Outdoor® wood is cut, unless all cut ends and bore holes are properly coated at the time of construction with a suitable wood preservative, such as Wolmanized® Wood End Cut Solution, containing a minimum of 1% copper.
Deck Posts
For deck posts, MFP recommends using 4"x4", 4"x6" or 6"x6" products. The following dimensions are available, with rough surface, treated to Ground-Contact specifications²:

 For an alternative look, MFP offers an Outdoor Wood product that has been stained and treated for a light-brown, natural wood appearance. Outdoor Wood is available for deck posts, treated to Ground-Contact specifications²:

Fascia
MFP offers a 2"x8" 12' Con-Common redwood fascia board that is surfaced on three sides (S1S2E). This fascia board is used to apply a redwood facing to a treated deck joist to create the appearance that the deck is entirely made of redwood.
